If you haven’t jumped into the new event featuring Sweater Ops yet, I just wanted to give a quick overview of what’s on offer.
For starters, there’s a new “Winter Warfare” mode where Sweater Ops is front and center. It’s a snowy, holiday-themed version of the classic Team Deathmatch, with a twist: you can earn exclusive cosmetic rewards based on how well you perform. The goal is to collect “snowflakes” scattered around the map, which gives you extra XP and unlocks new skins and gear for your Sweater Ops characters. It’s a fun way to collect limited-time cosmetics while still focusing on the standard gameplay.
The event also introduces special holiday-themed challenges. For example, completing 20 kills with the “Snowstorm” LMG unlocks an exclusive sweater skin that features a polar bear design. Another challenge requires you to complete a certain number of Sweater Ops survival rounds, where you’re dropped into a snow-covered map and have to fend off waves of AI enemies.
I think the Winter Warfare mode is a solid addition to the game, especially for the holidays. But I’m curious—are you guys a fan of seasonal events like this, or do you think it’s a bit too gimmicky?
